Why do you have travel photographs on your copywriting website?
This is one of the first questions people ask me. “Gary, why do you have these photographs of incredible landscapes on the pages of a copywriting website and blog?”
I’ll tell you why.
First, these images have personal meaning to me. They are places across the globe I’ve been to. I could have taken these photos myself. I love travelling. My work funds my travels.
Second, as a writer you need an active brain and a vivid imagination to create great stuff. They say travel broadens the mind – and it’s true. Travel increases your understanding of the world, heightens the senses and feeds your creative imagination.
You can find out more about each photo – where it is and the story behind it – in the blogs section of this website. In case you were wondering, the one on this page is of the dazzling Moraine Lake in the Canadian Rockies.
Can I see examples of your work?
Samples are not included on this website out of respect for my clients’ privacy and the confidentiality of work completed for them.
Not everyone wants to share their successful marketing campaigns with the world – not with customers and especially not with their competitors.
So without seeing any samples how do I know how good you are?
Producing powerful marketing is more than just about copy or design. Samples from the past are no guarantee of what works now.
All my work is bespoke.
Your business is only as strong as what it is doing now… What it is doing to generate new leads, new sales, new revenue, new profits.
My clients understand they’re not just hiring a copywriter. They are investing in me as a person, a scientifically-proven methodology and my results-oriented approach.
Take a close look at this website and see how it is put together. That will tell you more about what I can do than any set of samples can.
Do you have any Testimonials?
Yes. You might see some testimonials on this website. You can also read about some case studies if you are signed up to my regular newsletter (sign up at the bottom of this page).
You may not see photos or names with every testimonial because I respect my clients’ confidentiality and privacy. If they prefer not to be named I honour that. Every testimonial is 100 per cent genuine. I have no desire or need to make up names or comments.
How much do you charge?
This website doesn’t carry a price list because I don’t offer a standard “menu” or service. My work is bespoke. My prices are bespoke.
Work is always priced per project. There are NEVER any hidden fees or costs.
What a client says they want may not be what they really need. That’s why there’s a conversation and some research first before I deliver a personalised quote.
How long will it take you to do the work?
It depends on the nature and scale of the project.
We’ll have a conversation, find out what you need and then I’ll tell you what I can do. And roughly how long it may take.
One thing I can tell you for sure. It won’t be within hours. It won’t be within days.
Some people just want a burger and chips. I don’t sell ‘fast food’ services.
I’m here to provide the fine diner experience.
I take time to properly understand your business. Then I work on positioning, the angle and how best to get your message across. All with a clear, scientifically tested and proven methodology.
If you have a project in mind just ask.
What are you like to work with?
I work with a limited number of clients each year. That gives me time to get to know people and their business.
We start with a chat. You tell me about your business and I listen.
I ask a lot of questions. You ask a few questions (and more if you wish).
If we feel we can work together on a project I’ll send you a price.
We agree a price.
You give me all the information I need. I get on and do the job.
There’s no need to look over my shoulder. Just leave me to it. I’ll tell you what I’m doing and when you can expect things.
And if you have any questions or we need a call – we’ll just sort it.
If your question is not answered here please ask using the contact form below.
“If you accept every business needs to do marketing then it’s also true to say every business needs copywriting. Trying to do it yourself is a bit like having a drivers licence and thinking you could just jump into a Formula 1 racing car and drive it safely round the track at over 200mph (320km/h). Getting it wrong could end in disaster. It’s no different with marketing or copywriting. Why would you take the risk when you can put it all in the hands of someone who knows what they’re doing?”
